New Zealand · OPPA 2023 Compliance
Purpose-built e-learning for every organic operator in New Zealand. Understand your obligations under OPPA 2023 — and demonstrate your annual CPD requirement — with one licence for your whole team.
Register your interest →The Organic Products and Production Act 2023 (OPPA) has replaced New Zealand's voluntary organic certification system with a mandatory government-administered approval regime. Every operator — from kiwifruit growers to retail stores — now has statutory obligations they must understand and meet.
This platform delivers self-paced e-learning that explains what organic approval means for your specific operation, what you must do, what records you must keep, and how to stay compliant year after year. Completion records serve as evidence of your annual CPD requirement under OPPA.
Complete modules in your own time, on any device. No scheduled sessions, no travel.
Content tailored to your operation — kiwifruit, wine, dairy, retail, and more.
Completion certificates for every module, serving as annual CPD compliance records.
Content updates as regulations and MPI notices evolve — included in your subscription.
You purchase one licence for your business. Every employee — from the owner to seasonal workers — trains under that single licence. You nominate one person as your administrator, who manages staff access and can pull completion records at any time.
Staff must be employees of the licensed operation to access the platform. The licence is tied to your business, not to individual people.
Your administrator can see who has completed which modules, download certificates, and manage access — without needing to contact us. Records are retained within the platform and renew annually with your licence.
On-farm contractors have two options: they can train under one of the operator licences they work for, or hold their own contractor licence covering all their staff. Contractors who work across multiple operations may find their own licence the most practical option.
Every operator starts with the Foundation module, then selects the sector-specific modules relevant to their operation. A kiwifruit grower who also exports completes Foundation, Kiwifruit, and Exports. A wine importer completes Foundation and Imports.
Pricing is tiered by your annual revenue, aligned to the OPPA cost recovery model. One price covers your entire operation regardless of how many staff members need training. Operators self-declare their tier.
